11°

after my solo trip in Station 1. im now stationed at the ER. for me one of the most boring place in lpdh :| maybe because we never did anything exciting during our duties there. i know that the ER is the front liner of the whole hospital. but i dont know why we never had those awesome ER experience, like the ones we had in LGH and MCM :|

it was always benign. during my college duty all we did was cut paper, VS all the people and just monitor some of the patients. that was it. There was a time we did or the boys of our group did cpr on an arrested patient. and i did learn how to use the ambu bag and trach suction there. but that was it.
but to be fair, we only had a few er rotation in lpdh. most was in MCM (the mecca of VA's) :)) soo its not that nice to compare. lets just say people in Las Pinas are more careful? hahaha that we never have to experience it here. :)))

sooo i was stationed there with Jesse and She :) we talke most of the times. the staff there was quiet as compared to the other stations. maybe because the "station" was soo open to all the patients.
there was this one patient. a grandma who fell from a flight of stairs. broken hip i think. she kept asking the same questions to her family. it was amusing at first but later the other patients were finding her quite noisy.
i remember her asking about her dead husband, which she thought was still alive. she even got mad that the family dint tell her about it. She was very forgetful already. she even thought she was only 26 years old! (she was already in her late 80's)
There was this one kid who had a hole in between his eyes. his playmate apparently ram his head into a corner cement wall? and he got a nasty hole in his face.
there was some action. i also remembered the lady that punctured her left foot with a whole sewing needle. it sent shivers down my spine.
i remember in one family outing my cousin got puncture by a fish bone on her foot and my uncle removed it using a sharpened bbq stick :| it was sooo gross!!
soo anyways.. we had out interview by 1pm with Mam Maternal. a one on one interview!! Sir Anthony kinda was scaring us about what happens during those panel interviews.
so by 1pm, our group was already there.
one by one Mam Nilda called us in her office. us who were left behind started to bond a little. told stories of our own experiences and just goofed around. it was fun! Joseph was the pasimuno of kalokohan :))
then finally it was my turn. the dreaded question was asked "Tell me about yourself" which i did. it was a fairly shuttle interview :) very informal. but i felt it was better that way :) i was comfortable enough to share my thoughts :D
it was fun. an exciting day. :D bonding with some new friends :)

i got home, help cook dinner. i was the one who grilled our meat dish :D hahaha then mom got home and gave me an already cold "hot choco" from starbs :D it was still good though :)

my mom also brought home some nori. it was pretty good! :)) me and my japanese snacks :| :)) i kinda miss drinking starbs. been months already :|
i want that hot choco + tagaytay experience again :| sigh. i hope i dont have duty during the holy week. i really really want to go to Cavite. :| join the Bisita Inglesia with matching overnight in Batangas. :| gaaaaaawd. that would be sooo fun!!

soo thats day 11 for me :D
