Las Pinas Doctors Hospital...
this will be my home for the next 6 or maybe 7 months :|

Same routine like before (college days).. havta avoid the seton-casimiro-southville traffic every morning! :))) atleast free parking :P :) i always wanted to park beside the hospital :D
though i will only be a volunteer nurse, il be treated and hopefully ill also be performing like a staff nurse already :D

today was actually the first day of Orientation. Sir Ronald was the one orienting us about the policies, how things are done, the people we should know and some other things we might experience during our training program :) It took almost all my "powers" just to stay awake. hahaha (im sorry sir ronald, it wasn't your lecture.. just that i dint get enough sleep.. sigh.. 3 hours of sleep ba naman :( ) so anyways..  again i was a 'loner'.. dint really bothered me.. hahaha i know i would have the opportunity to talk to me fellow trainees in time. :) we were sorta a big group (12 people) from different schools. I remember we had a kuya from UST, people from Madocs, A group from Perps and one from Cagayan and Adamson. Ow There this Philippine Health thingy school.. im sorry i dint really paid attention during the  "introduce yourself" portion of our orient :)

lunch time was "Forever Alone" time :))

sooo after lunch session was kinda better.. i was awake na! :)) Sir Anthony was the one who talked to us. All the benefits and things we needed to know about working in the ER :D next was Mam Monnette from the OR/DR.. i was still dead afraid of her! :)) i dont know why, but maybe because i never saw her smile during our duty with her.. hahaha aside from the ward, i actually want to be in the DR :) maybe because i like OB :) OR was still a big MAYBE :)) i dont like standing up in one place for more than 4 hours and just hand tools or hold on to ones :))) i find it boring :| ok.. cool part is i get to see the insides of somebody.. but standing there.. for soooo long.. sooooo boring :| i remember during my first minor case, i almost passed out, out of boredom :| :)) I was just waiting for blood to appear, and my duty was to wipe it off with a cloth :| if i hadn't sneeze i would have fallen over the patient :))) but it was a good thing i was wearing a mask or else they would have thrown me out of the OR :))

sooo whats the highlight of my day??
i saw 4 of my former Clinical Instructors! :D
first i saw miss Apple :D i ran into her actually in the lobby :) then i actually saw miss lisa in the parking lot. i actually called her :D then before going home, i ran into Ma Marie! :D then i saw Miss Anna in the ER! :D It was nice hearing and knowing that they were proud i was a volunteer at lpdh already :) eventhough i told them "Orientation palang po :) ", it was still a big thing for them :) it made me proud :) and in someway added some pressure or maybe motivation? im not sure yet :) i wanna think positive and see it as motivation :D

the way they smiled as they saw me wearing that white uniform was priceless :) motivation maybe :D this isn't  only for me now, it was also for the people that made all of this happen. for the people that guided me :)

yes il be working 8 hours or more a day, 5 days a week for the next 5-6 months..
but like what i did in the past, just go with it. Opportunities for nurses are hard to find these days, and it will be such a waste if i dint do my best right? Its a matter of just doing your best. make the most out of your situation :)

question now.. which area will i be assigned in for the next 6 months? :)
